ElectroMed has recently received the approval of RINA (Registro Itanlino Navale) and we are now authorised to conduct Radio Surveys in accordance with SOLAS regulations and also Voyage Data Recorder annual performance testing on all RINA Classed vessels.  ElectroMed are also authorised by Lloyds Register and also ABS (American bureau of shipping)

During the Radio survey our costs also include testing of EPIRBs, (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons) SARTs, (Search and Rescue Transponders) AIS (Automatic Identification System) and SSAS (Ships Security Alert System)

Two Electromed technicians have just completed an 8 day training course with Tokyo Keiki.  This brings them completely up to date with Tokyo Keiki equipment and service procedures.  Electromed have been Sales and Service agents for Tokyo Keiki for the past 20 years.  We are qualified Sales Service and Installation for Tokyo Keiki Gyrocompasses, Tokyo Keiki Autopilot, Tokyo Keiki Radar and Tokyo Keiki ECDIS.  Electromed are authorised to carry out Tokyo Keiki service in Gibraltar, Spain, Morocco, England, Scotland and Wales.

Electromed is now a Service Partner for Skipper Electronics.  Electromed Service Engineers have received training and spare parts from Skipper Electronics AS.  Skipper Electronics AS are manufacturers and suppliers of Maritime Electronics equipment Speed Logs, Echo Sounders and Weather fax.  We now have test equipment for echo sounder and log transducers and displays.  Electromed conduct sales and service for Skipper products in Spain, Gibraltar, and Morocco.

Amongst many other manufacturers Electromed are agents for Tokyo Keiki  in Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco.  In our opinion Tokyo Keiki make the best gyro compasses in the world with excellent reliability and low cost maintenance.  For overhaul on TG 8000 Gyro compass there is no requirement to change any fluids doing away with the costs of Support Fluid, Mercury, Insulating fluid and Gasket sets.  Also there is no costly gyrosphere container to be replaced periodically.  Tokyo Keiki Gyrocompasses also have a feature whereby the gyro rotor can be braked electronically in order to make overhaul time shorter and thereby more economical.  Typical overhaul of a TG 8000 Gyro Compass should take no more than 5 hours and in most circumstances require no spare parts or consumables.  If any of your vessels should require a new gyrocompass then please contact Electromed for a quotation to supply, install and interface a Tokyo Keiki TG8000 Gyro Compass
